How to use Scoringer

Simple steps for every part of the app.

Start a round

On the Home screen, tap New.
Single round: one day of golf for one group or several groups.
Tournament: several rounds (for example over a weekend), teams, matches and side games.
Pick the course, the tee, the players and their handicaps, then tap Start.

Invite players

Open the gear and tap Invite players. Others scan the QR code with their phone camera, or you send them the link.
When they open it, they are asked "Who are you?". They tap their own name.
Not playing? Tap "Just watching". You can see the scores and chat, but not enter scores. You can switch to a player later from the Spectating bar at the top.

Enter scores

On the hole screen, tap the big + next to a player.
A small box opens with the par already filled in. Use - and + to change it, then tap Save.
Auto-advance (the switch under the hole name) opens the next player for you after each Save. Turn it off if you prefer to pick each player yourself.
Tap a score again to change it.

Leaderboard, Matches and Scorecard

Leaderboard: who is winning, and how many holes each player has played.
Matches: the score of each match (for example "2 up").
Scorecard: every hole for every player. Tap a box to fix a score.

Chat and announcements

Tap Chat to send a message to everyone in the round.
The organizer can pin an announcement. It stays at the top of the chat so nobody misses it.

Simple view and Large text

Simple view shows only the big buttons you need: enter scores, leaderboard and chat.
Large text makes all the words bigger and easier to read.
You find both in the gear menu.

Settle up and side bets

Side bets such as skins are set when you create the round.
At the end, Settle up shows who owes whom, so everyone can pay up quickly.

Recovery code and Find my rounds

Your rounds are kept on this phone. If you get a new phone, you can bring them back.
On the Home screen, tap the gear, then "My recovery code". Write the code down or copy it somewhere safe.
On the new phone, tap the gear, then "Find my rounds", and type the code. Your rounds come back.

Report a problem

Something not working? Tap the gear, then "Report a problem".
Say in a few words what happened and tap Send. It reaches the people who build the app.
